But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4

A few comments about this verse.

  1. The "god" of this world is referring to Satan.

  2. The real God of the Bible in some cases also deceives those who are lost, and who are working hard against his causes. Consider this Bible verse:

[Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
    2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (KJV)

Think about these verses the next time you see an evolutionist taking a strong position against the Bible on creation. You may very well be looking at one of the poster boys or girls for these verses. It is sad when you think about the ugly surprise those who have promoted evolutionism are going to face on Judgment Day. They unfortunately ignored God's clear warnings about it and will be held accountable.
